Dual Lock™ is a self adhesive flexible pressure lock on rolls. The patented system consists of a black polyolefin-strip with hemispherical heads on a short root. By pressing together a strong but unlockable connection is established:
Dual Lock™ flexible pressure lock is designed self-adhesive for permanent connections. This way usually known disadvantages are avoided: No circumstantial use of screws or rivets, no visible holes that could destroy visual appearance of a surface.
Dual Lock™ flexible pressure lock is self-adhesive using acrylate glue: The glue VHB™-adhesive tape) stands out through it’s high shear-stress strength even at high temperatures and rough surfaces. It has an excellent adhesive capability and high resistance to aging, ultraviolet rays, chemicals and diluents.

Application possibilities Dual Lock™ flexible pressure lock has the following advantages: Controllable connection: the pressure lock establishes connection in any combination. The heads glide along each other until they are fastened into each other by pressure. No inadvertent or early connections. The process of locking can be recognized audibly.
Force initiation: the pressure lock can be loaded with tensile force as well as shear force. Peeling force opens the connection.
Shake-proof connection: The pressure lock is a permanent mechanical attachment that does not open due to enduring shaking motion.
Dual Lock™ flexible pressure lock is a connection that is controllable and invisible from the outside and it’s used for unlockable attachment of fairings, covers, parts etc. that are to be easily removed and refastened for maintenance exchange, mounting or repairs. This pressure lock is used for example in automotive-, machinery-, toy-, and furniture industry as well as in apparatus construction and the advertising and decoration area.
Application: Dual Lock™ pressure lock needs good pressure to establish contact to the entire surface and thus reach full load capacity. To avoid detachment of corners they should be rounded.
