Multi probe

Triple probe, TTL ENERGY/STATIC/RAM AIR, CFK tube, head nickel-plated brass, end piece anodised aluminium.

The probe is a further development of the DN/3fach/UN with a new connector system. Unlike the DN/3fach/UN, the O-rings are installed on the probe side and can be replaced more easily. The matching UNX adapter has been installed in all Schleicher, Schempp-Hirth and Binder gliders since 2021. The new design enables pneumatic symmetry for pitot and static measurement, as well as an improved cross-section for TE measurement.

(Owners of older models can also use the new DN/3x/UNX, a SUN adapter interchangeable insert has been developed for this purpose).

Part of the offered probes were measured within a degree thesis ("The Analysis & Development of Total Energy Probes") at Delft technical university wind channel, supervised by aerodynamics engineer Prof. Loek Bormans. Focus was on finding the coefficient and examine the pitch and yaw sensitivity. The rating was outstanding.
