New oxygen cylinders are now only supplied with a residual pressure valve. The residual pressure valve is a safety device, but ensures that the cylinders cannot simply be filled on large dispenser cylinders or with simple bypass devices as before. This adapter has an adjustable device with which the residual pressure valve is actuated and thus the bottle can be filled as before.
