Just in time for the mandatory introduction of radios with 8.33 kHz channel spacing in Europe, f.u.n.k.e. AVIONICS presents the world's most modern 8.33 kHz-capable aviation-approved radio, the ATR833S.
The ATR833S is the successor to the well-known ATR500 aircraft radio. It is capable of the reduced channel spacing of 8.33 kHz. The ATR833S is a completely new development with state-of-the-art digital signal processing. The result is an audible leap in the quality of voice transmission. One innovation is the extremely lightweight plastic housing developed in cooperation with the associated company f.u.n.k.e. PLASTICS GmbH, which reduces the weight to less than 400 grams and makes the ATR833S one of the lightest radios in its class.
Like the tried and tested ATR833, the ATR833S has a voice-controlled intercom. A new feature is the automatic detection of the microphone type. The clear and straightforward operation makes the device easy to use, which is particularly important for clubs and owner associations. The bright two-line LCD display (similar to that of the tried-and-tested ATR500) always provides all essential information at a glance with just a few additional symbols. In addition, the device naturally has all the features that can be expected from today's devices, such as communication with popular smartphones via an optional Bluetooth module. A wide range of cable adapters are available for the radio, making it easy to replace the device in most cases.
