Building on the success of the familiar MPX high-current connector. The completed, soldered and checked connector is then placed in a high-pressure injection-moulding tool, and a special method is used to force a specially developed plastic material round the joints under pressure and heat. The result is an incredibly strong, robust and durable connector system. Nothing can adversely affect this encapsulated joint: neither mechanical strain nor environmental influence such as heat or damp. The encapsulation is resistant to vibration, oxidation, oils, acids, alkalis and fuels. Temperature-resistant from -30°C to +90°C. This procedure provides total protection in the area immediately adjacent to the solder joints, which is vulnerable to fracture. The injection-moulded grip features integral indentations, making the connector practical and convenient to insert and remove again.
