Our PATENTED JOINT automatically adapts the BWS Flexi-Bug-Wiper to the wing profile during the cleaning from wing root to wing tip and back again.
- only one bug wiper form for nearly all types of gliders
- Aerodynamically well-formed and appealing
- Reduced additional drag, because of its streamlined form
- Highest precision of the parts (injection moulding)
- Approved fibre reinforced CFR-plastics of high tensile strength
- No deforming, no kinking and buckling of the parts
- Stable, solid structure, UV-resistent
- High cleaning efficiency, especially by doubled cleaning filaments
- Stable gliding along the wing leading edge by the doubled cleaning filaments and by the clinching effect of the bug wiper to the upper and lower part of the wing due to the inventive joints enabling automatic matching to the profile.
- Quick mounting and de-mounting of the bug wiper possible.
- Low price-high quality
Up to now, for any type of glider a special bending and pressing mould had to be made, causing due to the many types of gliders extremely high production costs.
Yet, by our inventive joint system, hinging upper and lower part of the BWS Flexi-Bug-Wiper together in a flexible, pivotable manner, it is possible for the first time to use only one form for nearly any type of glider. This enables us to use the expensive, but utmost precise injection molding. The advantages are obvious
Depending on the type of aircraft, the cleaners are hinged above or below the wing:
- Retrieval line underneath: All Antares, all DGs, all Schempp-Hirth airplanes, all LS airplanes, SZD55, Jantar, Kestrel, Libelle, PIK20, Hornet, HpH airplanes, Jonker
- Retrieval line on top: EB28, EB29, all Schleicher aircraft
