The DD1 rod antenna is the result of practical experience! We have equipped countless airplanes and found that the most effective solution is an antenna in the cockpit and one attached to the bottom of the fuselage. And this is what the DD1 rod antenna is designed for:
- Virtually no resistance!
- If it gets bent, simply straighten it again, hundreds of times!!!
- Thin insulation to protect it from the weather!
- Extended insulation to prevent injury.
- High quality SMA connector (50 Ohm)
- Omnidirectional Lambda/4 monopole (counterweight required)
- Tuned to the FLARM frequency 868 MHz
Of course the antenna can also be screwed directly to the classic F5-F9 Flarm as a "toothpick replacement" or can be used as a replacement for the BD9 from Dolba&Dolba.
